Keystone Advanced Solutions is now hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper. We have an immediate need for someone who meets
our search criteria below.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and material cost estimates for federal construction projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive bid packages.
- Utilize construction estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
- Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and cost-effective bidding strategies.
- Prepare and submit timely and compliant bid proposals for federal solicitations, adhering to all requirements and regulations.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as needed to clarify project details and address client concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of bid documents, correspondence, and pricing information for future reference and analysis.
- Stay informed about changes in federal procurement policies, construction codes, and industry best practices related to estimating and bidding processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly with federal projects.
- Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detailed take-offs and cost estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
- Thorough understanding of federal contracting procedures, FAR regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and government officials.
- Proven organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with LEED certification, Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage rates, and other federal construction standards preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credentials are a plus.
