Keystone Advanced Solutions is now hiring a Full Charge Bookkeeper. We have an immediate need for someone who meets
our search criteria below.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
  • Perform accurate quantity take-offs and material cost estimates for federal construction projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive bid packages.
  • Utilize construction estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
  • Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and cost-effective bidding strategies.
  • Prepare and submit timely and compliant bid proposals for federal solicitations, adhering to all requirements and regulations.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as needed to clarify project details and address client concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of bid documents, correspondence, and pricing information for future reference and analysis.
  • Stay informed about changes in federal procurement policies, construction codes, and industry best practices related to estimating and bidding processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly with federal projects.
  • Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform detailed take-offs and cost estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
  • Thorough understanding of federal contracting procedures, FAR regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and government officials.
  • Proven organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with LEED certification, Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage rates, and other federal construction standards preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credentials are a plus.
